Our Story
Mrs. Toccara Addison-Clapp is the owner and operator of Designed Financial Coaching, a financial education and financial planning company based in Greensboro, North Carolina. In 2005, she graduated from Winston-Salem State University with a major in Mass Communications and minors in Spanish and sociology. In 2010, she enrolled at Guilford Technical Community College to obtain a two-year degree and four accelerated certifications in Medical Transcription. Most recently, she received her certification in Financial Coaching from industry expert, Dave Ramsey.
At a young age, Mrs. Addison-Clapp’s parents educated her about finances and the best ways to save and invest it. It is because of their wise spending and saving habits that Mrs. Addison-Clapp was allowed the opportunity to attend the school of her choice and graduate without any debt. Unfortunately, not too many of her peers can say the same. Witnessing the negative impact that student debt has caused them helped to shape her mindset, money management skills, and her mission.
Today, Mrs. Addison-Clapp works as an AAPC licensed Medical Coder and as a Financial Education and Planning Consultant helping middle to high school students and young adults live out their dreams without living in debt.
